Golden Imperial in Brenham

Arrived just after they opened. We did the lunch special. Lots of choices. Everything was fresh. Food was good. Loved the eggdrop soup. Will definitely eat there again!

Honestly it’s one of the worst Chinese foods I have ever eaten. I also used to work there. The kitchen was a mess they reuse most of the deserts for the buffet and honestly it’s just really messy at the waiter station and in the back kitchen. They completely took me off they schedule and neglected to tell me that I no longer worked there. The only good thing there was the boba tea witch even then was mediocre in comparison the college station or Houston. I’m conclusion just pick another restaurant to take your sweetie and do not decide to work there

Came here for dinner many times and now having the buffet. So many well prepared and seasoned selections to choose from. Buffet is during lunch only but what an excellent lunch spot I’ve discovered. The dinner menu is extensive and the food portions are plentiful. Staff is on point and courteous. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Management pays attention to detail. Highly recommend this as a go to spot for lunch or dinner.

The food is excellent but I wish they would have the buffet only and just get rid of the menu

Surprisingly good buffet food. The variety is a little lacking, but the quality is fantastic. It's also very clean, and warmly furnished. Subtly different from every other Asian buffet, but it makes a big difference.

Their boba tea are one of the best. Give it a try.

The food was so good! Great service!

We were greeted very properly. The young lady that was our server was very polite and checked on us every spare minute she had. Very well attentive to our table. I have no complaints about the food either. Nothing cold or to old. Kept up with their food. I really enjoyed myself.

Hot and sour soup is awesome and so is the curry chicken. All the food is really good and the boba tea is outstanding!!

I feel bad for this place, the food and atmosphere is amazing but not alot of people found it YET! I will be coming time and time again to savor the amazing flavor 😂😄!

The food was very good. Both the egg drop soup and the sweet and sour soup were amazing. If you are looking to eat at the buffet the time is from 11 to 2:30 otherwise the dinner service starts at 5 except on Friday which starts at 4. We asked for Hot Sake but they said they only served soda, tea, and water, it doesn't seem like they serve alcohol. Overall it was yummy.

Awsome food, great prices

My 9 yr old granddaughter had 2 spring rolls I was charged a full adult price for her. My grandson had a little more to eat but not much. Food was cold. We were 1st customer of the day. Buffett is not really a place to take children to eat. We just needed something quick.

The food here is very good. I love their hot and sour soup and fried rice dishes. General Tso's is good, too. They have a very nice lunch buffet. Prices are moderate. Service is very attentive.

This is a pretty good place to eat. It's clean and friendly. I think it could use a little more desert items. Good prices too.

Nice menu and very good boba

Unfortunately, this establishment does not honor Military Veterans. I provided a valid driver’s license that has “veteran” on it, pulled up an email attachment of my dd214, showed my VA Identification card, and offered to have them look at my license plates that have “DV” on them and says, “Disabled Veteran U.S. Armed Forces” but was told that the Owner will not accept those as proof of ID for serving in the Military. Apparently the Owner only accepts the “gray card” as proof. I asked the manager what they accept in lieu of the gray card considering everyone does not have a gray card and he said nothing. You must be in uniform or show the gray card. Not that it’s a huge issue, but considering it was my first time visiting, I’m going to make it my last. My intent was to order from there for a huge event coming up, but I’ll gladly seek elsewhere.

Nastiest Chinese food around and high dollar.

Although it had less items in the buffet, the quality of the food was better than normal. Could have had a larger selection of dessert items. But would definitely come back! Very clean and nice atmosphere.

This place was amazing! Beautiful decor right when you walk in.then the food was incredible! Best buffet ever! Then...it was super super inexpensive! We are going to be regulars!!!!

Visted the Tea/Smoothie Area the female at the counter was really helpful and even gave me a loyalty card. I cant wait to try more items off their menu. I got a mango smoothie and it did not dissapoint. Pricing was fair

Staff is great, very friendly and gave a laugh to me. The food is delicious. Truely a 10/10.

The food is very good, but 2 out of 3 times now they have gotten my order wrong. And the last time the chef used too much soy sauce in the food. Too salty!

Great Chinese buffet!

Place was dirty and nasty. It seemed like everyone was hanging out and talking. Plates were dirty and tables were dirty. They were extremely expensive for a very small buffet. It cost me 17.80 for a Dr pepper and one buffet. Really wouldn't recommend. Hope they get it together.

We love their food, I will say if you order off the menu you get much better quality rather than the buffet. I love all the employees too, they are always so kind and welcoming. You have to try the boba tea too! My favorite is Black Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly.

Great selection, fresh and hot. I don't eat sushi but they have plenty. Your drink never goes empty. Service is spot on, background music is nice not to loud. Have been here often finally doing a review.

Some really good Chinese food topped with some of the best service you can ever have. If you ever have Andrew, he is the absolute greatest waiter I’ve ever had. Super conversational, even spoke conversational German with me. Absolutely come here over all other brenham restaurants!!!! Anyone not rating this 5 stars is incorrect.

Good food at reasonable prices

The food and service were great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. However, this is not a buffet for vegans or vegetarians. All of the sushi, soups and main course items contained animal products. They did make a vegetarian roll on request, but were hesitant to do so. Your other options were rice, salad, oranges and green beans. Excellent place for carnivores!

Food all tasted good, just forgot the expense of the buffet, one person on a Sunday afternoon, $14.01, buffet & sweet tea......

Food was good but I was disappointed that there is not an evening buffet. The dinner menu had several specials so I had the general tso chicken and shrimp with veggies and fried rice. Rice is short grain so that was different but not bad. Unfortunately I got a headache after leaving so I won't be going back.

They stopped doing a dinner buffet. The waiters aren't really waiters. They refill drinks, and they are awesome at it. However, I'm order to get cheap labor, they don't let patrons get there own drinks and force you to tip the drink refill people. You have to serve yourself and still leave a tip.
